The new European Film Forum organised by Creative Europe MEDIA will take place on 14 June, during the Annecy International Animated Film Festival (11-16 June), and will look into opportunities for animation studios to build effective marketing and brand strategies.
Intellectual property rights are essential for every step of filmmaking, from protecting creators to securing distribution deals and using trademarks to create distinctive identities. Digital technologies are profoundly re-shaping how animation is produced and watched. What are the opportunities that digital technologies present for IP development? How can animation studios maximise the value of their IP assets? How can branded products help the storyline travel further? And what is the importance of branded content?
The aim of this debate is to discuss and look into the opportunities that exist for animation studios to focus on effective marketing and brand development. The debate will showcase examples of animation projects that build their brand identity and maximise their reach-out. We also want to explore how MEDIA can help animation studios to build brands.
